Names Entered in Search Tools
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Cass County Released Inmates does not store or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy policy and terms control its handling of the submission.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact message may be retained for as long as needed to answer it and maintain the conversation. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected
Normal web operations may automatically record limited technical and usage details when a page loads:
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- Browser name and version
- Device class and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring page or site, when supplied
- Date and time information tied to a visit
Cookie Controls

Links may lead to Cass County release records, sheriff and corrections pages, court portals, federal locators, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy rules apply. Cass County Released Inmates does not control those practices.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across different sites and select ads. That processing takes place on their systems and is governed by their notices and opt-out tools.

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may still be processed by:
- Search partners that receive a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure site use

- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Standard administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information within our control. No website, network, or storage method can be guaranteed breach-proof, so absolute security is not promised.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete information that no longer must be retained
- Opt out of processing when an applicable right permits it
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as the site or its service providers change. A new version takes effect when it is posted here with an updated effective date.
